ARTISTIC PRACTICE
Born in Crixás, Goiás, Brazil, and based in Las Vegas, Joice Gabriela creates sculptural mixed-media wall reliefs using glass, resin, crystals, raw and river stones, sand, shells, mineral pigments, and sculptural compounds.
Her practice explores how memory, identity, belonging, and transformation are carried through materials. Inspired by geological formations and the natural processes of pressure, erosion, and renewal, Joice transforms mineral and organic elements into layered compositions that shift with light and reveal new details as the viewer moves around them.
Each artwork is created as a one-of-a-kind material landscape, bringing together natural history and human experience.
