Joice Gabriela Across Las Vegas
Five Works. Four Spaces. One Continuing Material Investigation.
Five works by Brazilian contemporary artist Joice Gabriela are currently presented across four locations in Las Vegas, bringing her material-based practice into cultural, environmental, civic, and commercial settings throughout the city.
From the Rotunda Gallery at the Clark County Government Center to the Clark County Wetlands Park Nature Center, the Winchester-Dondero Cultural Center, and IKON Homes in Town Square, each setting creates a different encounter with the artist’s work.
Joice works with epoxy resin, glass, natural stones, sand, crystals, mineral pigments, and sculptural compounds. Through these materials, she investigates memory, movement, pressure, transformation, resilience, belonging, and the relationship between our internal landscapes and the natural world.
The Foundation
BE HOME SOON
Presented at the Rotunda Gallery, The Foundation brings together epoxy resin, river stones, mineral pigments, and sculptural compounds. The work considers the physical and emotional traces that shape our sense of origin, movement, and belonging.
BE HOME SOON brings together artists born outside Las Vegas and explores migration, memory, adaptation, identity, and the evolving meaning of home.

In Between Worlds: 5th Annual Juried Show
At the Clark County Wetlands Park Nature Center, Elemental Flow is presented as part of In Between Worlds, juried by Alina Lindquist.
Created with epoxy resin, glass, mineral pigments, and sculptural textural compounds, the work explores transformation, movement, and the relationship between fluidity and structure. Its layered surfaces shift with light, revealing different details as the viewer moves around it.
In Between Worlds examines wetlands as places of transition, where land and water, light and shadow, and the familiar and overlooked converge.

A Material Language Across the City
Seen together, these five works reveal the connections that continue across Joice’s practice. Each emerges through its own material process, yet all explore how physical matter can retain traces of experience, time, pressure, memory, and transformation.
Presented across four distinct Las Vegas environments, the works invite visitors to experience how texture, architecture, natural light, and context can continually reshape the way an artwork is perceived.
