Constellations of Arrival on View at Expressions of Clark County: America’s 250th Anniversary Showcase

I am honored to share that my artwork Constellations of Arrival is currently on view at the Expressions of Clark County: America’s 250th Anniversary Showcase exhibition.

Created in 2026, Constellations of Arrival explores migration, memory, resilience, and the invisible connections that shape human experience. Through a network of intersecting lines, crystals, glass fragments, natural stones, and layered textures, the work transforms personal and collective journeys into a poetic cartography of belonging.

Each line represents a path. Some cross oceans and borders; others travel through memory, identity, and transformation. Together, they form a constellation of human stories connected by movement and shared experience.

My own journey began in a small town in Brazil and continued across different countries, cultures, and landscapes before arriving in the United States. This work reflects not only my story but also the countless journeys that continue to shape communities, cultures, and identities around the world.

Rather than representing a specific place, Constellations of Arrival speaks to a universal experience: the continuous process of becoming while carrying our roots and embracing new horizons.

Experiencing the work in the exhibition space offered a new perspective. Once completed, an artwork no longer belongs solely to the artist, it begins a dialogue with viewers, inviting personal interpretations and connections.

Seeing the piece installed among the voices and experiences represented in the exhibition reaffirmed the power of art to connect people through stories that are both personal and universal.
