Beyond the Gaze (2026)
(Mixed media with glass fragments, resin, and textured materials)
Beyond the Gaze explores the space between perception and self-awareness. Through layered surfaces and fragmented glass elements, the work reflects the many forces that shape how we see ourselves: external judgment, internal criticism, fear, expectation, and doubt.
The eye-like form emerges as both observer and observed, inviting reflection on the tension between who we are and who we believe we should be. The fragmented materials create shifting reflections that change with light and perspective, suggesting that identity is not fixed but continually reconstructed through experience.
Rather than focusing on how we are seen by others, Beyond the Gaze points toward what exists beyond external validation. It is a meditation on resilience, self-trust, and the courage to move forward despite uncertainty.
The work invites viewers to look beyond the noise of perception and reconnect with the quiet clarity that already exists within.
